The Charleston Middle School Show Choir is an auditioned group that is open to all 7th and 8th graders. Auditions are generally held in September. The CMS Show Choir rehearses every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30.
This popular group has many performing opportunities. They are a part of both the Christmas and Spring concerts, and perform throughout the community. This group is a year long commitment. |

The Charleston Middle School Chorus is open to all 7th and 8th graders who love to sing. This chorus sings 3 and 4 part music and teaches each student the fundamentals of being in a chorus and working as a team. Part singing, elements of music, posuture, using the voice correctly, and listening skills are just some of the basics that are focused on in the middle school chorus.
The CMS Chorus has a variety of performance opportunities, as well as competing in music contest, and enjoying a trip to see a broadway style musical in the spring in either St. Louis or Chicago. Last year, the CMS Chorus was fortunate in being able to perform "God Bless America" before the St. Louis Cardinal baseball game. |
